There was a real sense of celebration in the air today as Nottingham CityCare recognised the winners of its 2026 Celebrating Success Annual Staff Awards.
Winners were formally recognised at a special awards presentation held at the Jubilee Conference Centre hosted by Chair Vicky Bailey and Chief Executive Nic Atkinson. Winners were joined by their managers, a colleague of their choice, and members of the Board, this year's. Set against the backdrop of a glorious summer day, colleagues gathered to celebrate the outstanding achievements of individuals and teams who go above and beyond to make a difference for patients, communities and colleagues across Nottingham.
The event began with opportunities for networking, reflection and shared celebration before moving into a heartwarming awards presentation. Each winner's story was brought to life through the inspiring nominations submitted by colleagues, highlighting not only their achievements but also what set them apart among an impressive field of 220 nominations across 10 categories.
This year's winners represented the very best of CityCare, from frontline clinicians and dedicated support staff to innovative digital leaders and high-performing teams. Together, they demonstrated the values that sit at the heart of everything we do: Kindness, Respect, Trust and Honesty.
A particularly poignant moment of the day came during the presentation of the Valuing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Award, which this year was dedicated to the memory of Fiona Cambridge, CityCare's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Manager. Fiona was a much-loved member of the CityCare family whose passion, compassion and commitment to inclusion helped shape a more equitable organisation. Her legacy continues to inspire colleagues across CityCare.
