Making a Difference: Our Social Impact in Action
Message from Vicky Bailey, Nottingham CityCare Chair
As Chair of Nottingham CityCare, I am pleased to share our Social Impact Report for 2025–26, which highlights the difference we are making across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire—not only through the delivery of NHS community services, but through our wider contribution to the health, wellbeing and resilience of our communities.
As Nottingham’s largest provider of NHS community health services Nottingham CityCare is a key player in the city and the county’s health and social care sector. With more than 1,200 colleagues working at the heart of communities across the city, we make a significant contribution to the local economy and life in Nottingham. This is what we refer to as our added social value – our ongoing commitment to achieving wider social, economic, and environmental benefits through all aspects of our work.
As a community interest company, we reinvest our surplus back into the communities we serve. This enables us to respond flexibly to local need, tackle health inequalities and deliver broader social, economic and environmental value alongside high-quality care.
This year’s report demonstrates how we are working with partners across the system to improve access, strengthen prevention and deliver care closer to home. It also highlights the practical steps we are taking to reduce inequalities, support people to remain independent, and ensure services meet the needs of diverse communities.
Beyond healthcare delivery, we continue to invest in our communities through initiatives including employability and skills programmes, digital inclusion, and support for individuals experiencing loneliness or crisis. These efforts reflect our role as a trusted local partner and anchor organisation within Nottingham.
We are proud of the progress we have made, and we remain committed to working in partnership with you to improve population health and create lasting social value for the communities we serve.
