Continence Advisory Service
Aims and objectives of service
The service exists to help adults (18 and over) and children over the age of three who have bladder and / or bowel problems. We provide education, advice, support, clinical practice development for carers and healthcare professionals within the wider health community, and participate in research and innovative practice.
The team provides specialist continence clinics in a variety of community locations with a view to improving patients continence symptoms.
Where treatment is unsuccessful. a home delivery service is available for incontinence pads to people in their own homes, residential and nursing homes.
Days/hours of operation
The service is provided Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm, excluding Bank Holidays.
We accept referrals for patients who are age 18 and over and have a Nottingham City GP via 0115 8838900 (option 1) or http://accesstoservices.citycare.org.uk
Referrals are not accepted directly from secondary care consultants.
All patients over the age of three years within the NHS Nottingham City CCG.
