For life-threatening emergencies, such as chest pains, severe bleeding or choking dial 999 or go to A&E.
Your local pharmacist can supply help and advice with minor illness and injuries such as insect stings, colds, sore throats, hay fever, indigestion, constipation, hangovers and skin irritations.
For urgent non-threatening healthcare needs call 111 or visit your nearest Urgent Care Centre.
Health advice can be obtained 24 hours a day, seven days a week by dialling the NHS 111 telephone number. Health professionals will be able to signpost you to the best local service for your situation or provide advice on how to self-manage your condition.
