CityCare's own Tamsin Peach, Occupational Therapist and CityCare Falls Lead is to speak at the Falls Prevention & Management in Older People Conference on Friday 6 May 2022. 

She will be speaking alongside Professor Cameron Swift, Emeritus Professor, Consultant Physician King’s School of Medicine and Specialist Committee Member, Falls Prevention Quality Standard NICE.

This virtual conference focuses on falls prevention and management in older people with a focus on ensuring effective and resilient falls prevention activity during and beyond Covid-19.

    
When asked about her participation in the event, Tamsin said: “I am really pleased to be presenting at this virtual falls conference, it's lovely to work with such a wide range of passionate and expert speakers and share about my work with fallers in the community”

The conference will also discuss key elements in the reduction of falls including strength, balance and exercise promotion, managing underlying health issues, developing personalised falls prevention care plans, frailty presenting as falls and improving the systems for falls monitoring, investigation and learning.
