CityCare is committed to making a positive impact in our community through various volunteer initiatives. Our volunteers are the backbone of our organization, and we strive to provide them with the support and resources they need to succeed.

What it means to volunteer with us

Volunteering with CityCare means being part of a team that is dedicated to making a difference. You will have the opportunity to work on projects that align with your interests and skills, and you will be supported every step of the way.

What We Look for in a Volunteer

To volunteer with CityCare, you must be over 16 years old. We ask our volunteers to commit to at least two hours a week for six months to ensure we can create long-lasting and meaningful roles and relationships with our staff and service users.

Before starting, you will need to pass a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, attend training, provide one reference, and complete an Occupational Health disclosure. This is necessary because some of our volunteer roles involve contact with vulnerable individuals.

How Volunteering Benefits You

Volunteers provide invaluable support to CityCare. By becoming a volunteer with us, you will:

  • Enjoy using your free time in a positive way
  • Share your interests, knowledge, and experience
  • Explore career options and gain references for future jobs
  • Learn new skills and gain valuable experience for work or further education
