- Administration Support Volunteer: As an Administrator Volunteer, you will be responsible for a range of administrative duties that help maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization. The volunteer roles will be providing administrative support in areas where there is increased demand or where extra support will make an effective contribution to day to day running of services
- Meet and Greet Volunteer: is designed to provide a welcoming and supportive presence for patients and their families as they arrive at various clinics, groups and services within Nottingham CityCare Partnership. This role is essential in creating a positive first impression and ensuring that visitors feel comfortable and at ease.
Recruitment Process
Our recruitment process is designed to ensure that we find the best fit for both our volunteers and our organization. It includes an application form, an interview, and a training session.
Here are the six steps to becoming a CityCare volunteer:
- Apply: Complete the registration form with as much detail as possible to help us match you with a suitable role.
- Come to an Interview: If we find a potential match, we’ll invite you to an interview with our friendly team.
- Complete the Recruitment Checks: We’ll guide you through ID documents, health checks, references, DBS, and occupational health clearance. These checks can be completed within a few weeks, provided you supply the correct documentation and your referees respond promptly.
- Complete Essential Training: Start with mandatory e-learning which will take couple of hours to complete.
- Attend Induction: Our induction programme is held once a month and are attended by volunteers and paid colleagues. This programme provides an introduction to CityCare as an organisation before you start your placement and is a great opportunity to be welcomed into the team by staff colleagues.
- Ready to Start: After induction, you’re ready to start. You won’t be thrown in at the deep end! We’ll support you with your Volunteer Coordinator and provide access to support, training, supervision, and other regular events to help you develop within your chosen role.
What CityCare Offers Volunteers

Training and Development:
Training opportunities will be provided based on the volunteer role, and this will be provided through eLearning and face to face training.
Before starting as a volunteer, you will need to have completed your induction and core learning.
Most of the core learning is accessed on our eLearning platform, and you will be guided on how to complete this at home. However, if for any reason you cannot complete or update your core learning, the Volunteer Coordinator will be happy to support you with this.
Some core learning requirements will need to be updated at yearly or three yearly intervals.
You are required to keep your core learning up to date or you will be temporarily unable to volunteer until you have completed any outstanding modules.
