Supporting Health through Active Representation and Empowerment

Nottingham CityCare’s SHARE Forum is a collaborative platform where staff, patients, carers and communities come together to listen, learn, and work jointly to shape the services we provide to enhance the quality of patient care and experience. It’s where real stories inspire real change.

The SHARE Forum is an opportunity for you to be a part of meaningful conversations, share your ideas/experiences, hear directly from other patients and carers, and collaborate on improvements that matter to both CityCare service users and staff. It supports service improvement ideas, builds trust, and strengthens relationships with service users.

“This is not about adding work. It’s about making our work more effective, informed, and connected.”

Judith Douglas, Director of Nursing, AHPs and Quality

Discussions in this open forum will include ideas about changes to services, policies and procedures, patient information and any topics or ideas you want to understand more about.

These discussions will take place every two months, primarily online but face-to-face twice a year, in meetings that are co-chaired by a patient representative and the Director of Nursing, AHPs and Quality. There is no commitment to attend every meeting, you can choose when you would like to attend and simply register to attend via the links below.

Benefits of Engagement & Coproduction in the SHARE forum are:

  • Improved Service Quality: Working together helps us develop and implement initiatives that better respond to patient needs.
  • Inclusive Decision Making: Coproduction ensures service user empowerment is central to our decisions.
  • Stronger Community Partnerships: Building connections between Nottingham CityCare and those who use our services.
  • Represent Diverse Voices: Supporting patient engagement and ensuring the views of our diverse local communities are heard.
