Nottingham CityCare has appointed Alan Long as its new Non-Executive Director. Alan joined us today, Tuesday 20 May 2025.
Alan is currently Chair of a housing association, and has also been Chair of a charity and a Director of a community interest Ccmpany.
He is pleased to join CityCare given both his work and personal experiences have shown just how important community-based services are. Alan has worked with the public sector for 20 years in providing care, housing and welfare services, as a Director of a private company.
Alan said "In my experience, any great organisation starts with ensuring that we have a place that is really great to work, where everyone has the opportunity to deliver the very best service they can. I am proud I have achieved this kind of culture in places that I have worked previously and hope that I can support CityCare also."
Alan will focus on Business Development, Transformation and Culture change to broaden our existing experience amongst our Board. Alan joins us to play a key role in our exciting journey to deliver our strategy and our mission to 'Make a difference every day to the health and wellbeing of our communities'.
