Today marks the start of Black History Month, when we celebrate and learn from stories and achievements of both Black Britons and black people throughout world history. This year’s Black History Month has been coordinated by our BAME Staff Group, who actively inform CityCare around matters affecting our BAME community, as well as supporting their colleagues to have their voices heard and views represented. Over the coming weeks they will be sharing their stories of those people who influenced them, and who can inspire us all.

Today we have the October edition of The EDIfier, the newsletter from our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion team. It includes an introduction from our new Director of People, Communication and Inclusion, as well as a timeline of Black British History, and much more. Nottinghamshire Integrated Care System (ICS) are also encouraging BAME staff to take part in their #ProudtoBe campaign. You can find out more by downloading the information sheet, and then use the sign template.
