Nottingham CityCare, a provider of NHS services that employs over 1,200 staff, has confirmed its commitment to supporting seriously ill staff by signing the TUC’s Dying to Work charter. The charter empowers employees to decide what their career journey in the event of a serious illness, and ensures that they will be supported through their condition.

The charter was signed by Tracy Tyrell, Director of Nursing and AHPs, and Tracy Litherland Joint Trades Union Chair for CityCare, who said:

“The Trades Unions are  delighted to have been able to take the Charter through its journey to sign-off and feel that it will also enable us to support members and staff through sometimes difficult times allowing them to complete their individual career journey in their own way.”
