Nottingham CityCare Partnership has today announced the appointment of Vicky Bailey as its new Chair, with Vicky joining the organisation on 7th April 2026.

Vicky brings extensive experience of senior leadership, governance and system working, alongside a deep understanding of community‑based health care in Nottingham. She has spent much of her career working within the NHS locally, holding a range of senior and executive roles across Nottinghamshire.

Beginning her career in the 1980s as a registered nurse and midwife, Vicky also qualified as a family planning nurse before completing an MSc in Health Care Policy and Organisation at the University of Nottingham. She has since worked at Board and Chief Executive level, including as Accountable Officer for NHS Nottingham West and Rushcliffe Clinical Commissioning Groups, Director of Health Improvement and Planning within a Primary Care Trust, and General Manager at Principia – Partners in Health.

Vicky has also contributed nationally to health policy and improvement. She was appointed by the Secretary of State for Health to serve on the NHS Future Forum, co‑chairing the Public

Health group whose recommendations informed legislative change. She is a Fellow of The Queen’s Institute of community Nursing and has held a number of governance and assurance roles as a non executive Director at University of Leicester Hospitals NHS Trust, as a member of the Council of the University of Nottingham, and with the Local Government Association.

As Chair, Vicky will work closely with the Board and Executive Team to build on CityCare’s strong foundations, support its workforce and champion its role as a trusted and innovative community provider within the wider integrated health and care system.

Commenting on her appointment, Vicky Bailey, Chair of Nottingham CityCare Partnership, said:
