Nottingham CityCare staff demonstrated their unwavering commitment to supporting those in crisis within our city during December 2025.
For the third consecutive year, the teams at Meadows Health Centre generously donated gifts for children of the clients attending the Bestwood and Bulwell Foodbank. As the busiest single foodbank in the city and part of the Trussell Trust network, this thoughtful gesture brings much-needed joy to families in need.
The efforts of the CityCare staff to support the work of the foodbank didn’t stop there. They also participated in the national annual Tesco collection, distributing leaflets and collecting donations from generous shoppers. Last year, their presence at Bulwell Tesco resulted in an impressive collection of over a tonne of food, showcasing a remarkable display of community spirit and generosity.
The spirit of giving continues with another opportunity to contribute. On 21 December, the SMD Active Together event, organised by Des Oldham, Nottingham CityCare Health Centre Manager, provided another chance to donate food to the Bestwood and Bulwell Foodbank.
Julia Webster, Team Manager and Volunteers coordinator for the Bestwood and Bulwell foodbank, expressed her gratitude, stating, "Thank you all for your kindness and dedication to helping our community. Your efforts really do make a difference."
